Band Bio:

BooB was formed in Richmond, VA during the heat of the summer months of 2002 as a songwriting team. Due to lots of alcohol and the appearance of a 4track, a crotch-rock sound was created and (some may shudder) recorded. Everyone in BooB brings a wide range of diverse roots both musically and personally which allows for an amazing ocean of subject matter to draw from. Due to this fact, BooB concentrates on original matter but keeps a few of the favorite covers around for smiles.

Since the fall of 2002, BooB has been amazed to open for a very diverse group of musical acts. BooB has played with 2 Skinnee J’s, Macgregor, John Moossa Band, Modern Groove Syndicate, Flesh Mountain Boys, and Nancy & The Knockers. Though the roots of BooB are in the living room, the band has expanded out and joined the above acts at such venues as The Canal Club, Alley Katz, 929 Club, The Commercial Taphouse, Cary St. Café and Banditos. BooB has also had the pleasure of breaking in a film festival at The Firehouse Theatre in Richmond, VA.

The BooB vibe is definitely Rock from the Crotch. We leave all audiences with a reaction.

Members of BooB have been privileged to share the stage with:

2 Skinnee J’s, Macgreogor, Modern Groove Syndicate, Flesh Mountain Boys, John Moossa Band, Gray-V, Devil’s Workshop Big Band, Glasseyed Sugardaddy, Crushed Carnations, McMurphy and the Pussywillows, The Bad Bangs, Javaquarium, Cryptomatics, Man Mountain Jr., Newman, Beaver Traffic Jam, and The Slimmon’s Group & The Bside Players.
